How to Add Bookmarks to a PDF

Will this tool create nested (sub-level) bookmarks?
Currently, to ensure the tool remains fast, intuitive, and universally compatible across all PDF viewers, it generates a "flat" outline (all bookmarks are on the same top-level root). We may introduce nested parent/child bookmarks in a future update.
Why did my old bookmarks disappear?
This tool is designed to overwrite the Outline Dictionary. If you upload a file that already has bookmarks and generate a new one using this tool, the old bookmarks are wiped to ensure the newly generated structure isn't corrupted by conflicting metadata.
Are there file size restrictions?
Because the processing relies on your device's RAM instead of external cloud servers, there are no artificial caps. However, extremely large PDFs (e.g., 500+ pages or files over 150MB) may slow down your browser depending on your hardware limitations.
